Wii Play: Motion games developed by Nintendo competitors

By Jack Taylor – 26 April 2011

The games in Wii Play: Motion have been created by developers Satoru Iwata says Nintendo has worked with "competitively" in the past.

Though Iwata did not disclose any of the developers' identities, he confirmed that the development of each game would be revealed in the future.

Wii Play: Motion, which will launch in Japan this July under the name Wii Remote Plus Variety, is the newest Wii Remote Plus pack-in game and includes twelve games which each utilise the MotionPlus technology in different ways.

Iwata also revealed that the bundle would launch at a "special value price" similar to Wii Play, which retailed for the same price as the original Wii Remote despite being bundled with one.

Surely that's old news by now...
