By Jack Taylor – 17 August 2011

The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword will launch in Europe on 18 November, Nintendo of Europe has announced today.

Zelda fans have waited for years now for the news of a release date for The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword, and today, that news is here.

Nintendo of Europe has confirmed that Skyward Sword will launch across Europe on Friday 18 November.

The game is one of three Zelda titles to launch by the end of this year, with Twilight Princess relaunching as a Nintendo Selects title on 16 September and Four Swords due for release on Nintendo DSiWare, also in September.

Nintendo has not yet announced any plans for the special gold Wii Remote Plus which is expected to be bundle with some copies of Skyward Sword.

Update: Nintendo of America has now confirmed that The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword will launch in North America on Sunday, November 20, two days after it launches in Europe.

Surely that's old news by now...
