SUPPORT US ON KO-FI!Square Enix has announced The DioField Chronicle, a new strategy RPG coming to Nintendo Switch and PlayStation consoles later this year.
The DioField Chronicle was revealed during Sony's State of Play presentation and is the latest RPG from Square Enix, developed alongside Lancarse Ltd. and featuring music by Game of Thrones composers Ramin Djawadi and Brandom Campbell.
The debut trailer for the game introduces some story elements and showcases a strategic battle system Square Enix is calling Real-Time Tactical Battle, or RTTB. Players take the role of Blue Fox, a band of mercenaries from the neutral Kingdom of Alletain on DioField Island.
The DioField Chronicle launches for systems including Nintendo Switch, PS5, and PS4 later this year.
