Nintendo Direct: Street Fighter 6 and Kunitsu-Gami announced for Nintendo Switch 2

Street Fighter 6 and Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess have been announced as Nintendo Switch 2 launch titles.

Revealed during the Switch 2's Nintendo Direct, Street Fighter 6 is coming to Nintendo Switch 2 on launch day (5 June) in in two different versions - the Standard Edition includes the base game, while the Years 1-2 Fighters Edition will include all of the characters and stages released as DLC during the game's first two years of availability.

Exclusive to the Nintendo Switch 2 editions are local wireless matches with other Nintendo Switch 2 players, Avatar Matches in local wireless mode, Gyro Battles using the Joy-Con 2 motion controls, and amiibo compatibility. 22 new amiibo cards will be available as a Starter Pack, with booster packs coming in the future; meanwhile, figures of Luke, Jamie, and Kimberly will also be available. Ryu and Ken amiibo will also be compatible.

Capcom has also confirmed that Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess will be coming to Nintendo Switch alongside Street Fighter 6 on launch day. It will feature traditional controls alongside optional mouse and gyro controls with the Joy-Con 2, as well as brand new content in the form of "Otherworldy Venture" - nothing more about this has been revealed, except that it will be available on other platforms as a free update in the future.

Street Fighter 6 and Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess both launch for Nintendo Switch 2 on 5 June; the Years 1-2 Fighters Edition for Street Fighter 6 will also launch for other platforms on the same day.
