E3: Nintendo announces Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker 2

By Jack Taylor – 9 June 2011

Nintendo has announced that it will be publishing Square Enix's second Dragon Quest Monsters in North America later this year.

The title, a sequel to 2008's Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker, launched in Japan last year and has since been followed by an extended cut "professional" version.

Nintendo will publish the title, developed by Square Enix and TOSE, in North America when it launches on August 28.

Nintendo of Europe has yet to confirm that the title, as with any other new titles shown at Nintendo's E3 media presentation, will launch in the region.

However, given the title's compatibility with Dragon Quest VI and Dragon Quest IX, both of which have proved popular in Europe, its release there seems likely.

We'll bring you more on Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker 2 as we get it.

Surely that's old news by now...
