Nintendo Direct: Nintendo 64 and Mega Drive join Nintendo Switch Online

Nintendo Switch Online is receiving a new subscription level featuring Nintendo 64 and SEGA Mega Drive games.

Announced during the latest Nintendo Direct, the new "Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack" service will launch at the end of October, and can be purchased anew or upgraded to from an existing subscription. It will feature two new Nintendo Switch Online apps - one for Nintendo 64 games and one for SEGA Mega Drive games.

The following titles will be included in the Nintendo 64 app at launch:

• Super Mario 64
• The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time
• Mario Kart 64
• Star Fox 64
• Sin and Punishment
• Dr. Mario 64
• Mario Tennis 64
• WinBack
• Yoshi's Story

The following are among the titles being added for Nintendo 64 in the future:

• Banjo-Kazooie
• Pokémon Snap
• The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask
• Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards
• Mario Golf
• Paper Mario
• F-Zero X

And the following titles will be available for SEGA Mega Drive at launch:

• Sonic the Hedgehog 2
• Streets of Rage 2
• Ecco the Dolphin
• Castlevania: Bloodlines
• Contra: Hard Corps
• Dr. Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine
• Golden Axe
• Gunstar Heroes
• M.U.S.H.A.
• Phantasy Star IV
• Ristar
• Shining Force
• Shinobi III: Return of the Ninja Master
• Strider

As an added bonus, Nintendo Switch Online members will also be able to purchase new wireless Nintendo Switch controllers featuring the same design as the Nintendo 64 controller and the Mega Drive controller. More details about their availability will be released in the future.
