Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin has been given a 9 July release date and will launch alongside three new amiibo.
Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin was featured in March's Monster Hunter Digital Event, where a new trailer for the game was revealed alongside some new gameplay information. The game launches on 9 July for Nintendo Switch as both a standard edition and deluxe edition.
Launching alongside the game on 9 July are three amiibo featuring Ena, Razewing Ratha, and Tsukino; each amiibo will unlock a layered armour set when used in the game. Additionally, owners of Monster Hunter Rise - which launches on 26 March on Switch - will be able to unlock the Kamura Garb armour set in Monster Hunter Stories 2 just by having Monster Hunter Rise save data on the system.
More information about Monster Hunter Stories 2's story and multiplayer content has been promised at a later date.
