The latest Monster Hunter Digital Event has revealed details about Monster Hunter Rise's major update to Version 2.0 and more besides.
Initial details about the game's Version 2.0 update were shared previously, and Capcom has now divuled even more in the latest Monster Hunter Digital Event - including a release date. The update will become available later today and tonight in all regions.
The update will introduce new monsters including Kushala Daora, Teostra, and Chameleos, as well as Apex Diablos and Apex Rathalos. In addition, more monsters will be available outside of Rampage quests, plus new layered armour can be forged, and the max hunter rank will be unlocked.
Paid downloadable content is also being made available, including new voice options, stickers, gestures, and layored armour; these are separate to the free update and can be purchased in-game or from Nintendo eShop at any time.
Capcom also confirmed that the Version 3.0 update will launch in late May.
Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin also received a new trailer, sharing some more story details, as well as revealing the return of Lilia and Reverto from the first game. Pre-orders are now open for the game on Nintendo eShop, and eventually, players with Rise or Stories 2 save data will receive the protagonists' armour as a bonus in the other game.
Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin launches for Nintendo Switch on 9 July.
