3D Classics Urban Champion to launch in Japan

By Jack Taylor – 6 July 2011

Urban Champion has been revealed as the third title in the 3D Classics range and will launch on eShop in Japan next week.

It will be the third game, after Excitebike and Xevious, in the 3D Classics series, available only through the Nintendo eShop.

Originally released in Japan for the Famicom (NES) in 1984, Urban Champion is one of Nintendo's earliest fighting titles and supports two-player action as well as single-player.

The 3D Classics remake will also allow up to two people to play together, though it is currently unclear if both players will require a copy of the game.

3D Classics Urban Champion is expected to launch worldwide, though this has not yet been confirmed.

Surely that's old news by now...
